The aim is to rehabilitate and release all individual animals rescued.
We are really stoked to present Grow! A series Of Balsa wooden surfboards Illustrated by LO art to support the projects of JAAN.
These surfboards are for sale, through art we support Indonesian wildlife.
Grow! Kicks off to grow awareness for the Turtles in Indonesia.
In the world there are seven sea turtle species, six of which live in Indonesia:
Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle, Olive Ridley, Leatherback, Flatback and the Loggerhead.
These are the three main issues in Indonesia regarding the protection of these Sea turtles in Indonesia.
- The Ongoing Pollution of the ocean and nesting beaches.
- Badly managed hatcheries for tourism.
- The slaughter of sea turtles for consumption and the commercial trading of the Turtle shells.
The project aims to protect the natural resources in the area and especially the sea turtles and their eggs. Also, they educate about the dangers of waste in the ocean and especially the plastics in populated environments.
JAAN educates locals, schools, tourists and the media in order to reduce the problem in the near future.
